Teaching Assistance: Interdisciplinary Project Week | Teaching Assistance in der Interdisziplinären Projektwoche

The teaching assistance will be based in its content and character upon a combination of one course and a shortterm project (in total students will get 4 Credits).

• Course (1 CP): Students will participate in a (mostly two-day) qualifying and training session at the »Kompetenzwerkstatt« of TH Köln. Here, they will learn basic skills for being a qualified tutor.
• Short-term project (3 CP): Students will perform their task as a tutor in the context of the interdisciplinary project week of TH Köln. They will accompany a learning group of 12 to 15 students, will manage and ignite students’ reflection on the common work and learning and will act as a moderator in case of difficulties and problems. Their role also encompasses taking part in and preparing session meetings before and after the respective project meetings.

Students interested in the position for a teaching assistant must have already taken part in a project within the interdisciplinary project week of TH Köln.

Die »teaching assistence« kombiniert einen Kurs mit einem kurzfristigen Projekt (insgesamt erhalten die Studierenden 4 Credits).

• Kurs (1 CP): Sie nehmen an einer (meist zweitägigen) Qualifizierungs- und Trainingseinheit in der Kompetenzwerkstatt der TH Köln teil, die Sie auf eine Tutorentätigkeit während der hochschulweiten interdisziplinären Projektwoche vorbereitet. Der Kurs findet online statt.
• Kurzzeitprojekt (3 CP): Im Rahmen der hochschulweiten interdisziplinären Projektwoche der TH Köln arbeiten Sie als Tutor*in und betreuen online eine Projektgruppe von 12 bis 15 Studierenden. Sie führen tägliche Reflexionsgespräche mit der Gruppe durch und stehen als Ansprechpartner*in zur Verfügung, etwa um bei Problemen als Moderator*in zu fungieren.

Studierende, die sich für eine »teaching assistance« interessieren, müssen bereits an einer interdisziplinären Projektwoche der TH Köln teilgenommen haben.
