Description - EN

The purpose of this class is to offer a set of techniques and strategies to start practicing 3d modeling with Rhinoceros and visual scripting using Grasshopper, a tool for algorithmic modeling. Grasshopper, a plug-in for Rhinoceros, is a node-based editor developed by David Rutten at Robert McNeel & Associates. It runs on a licensed copy of Rhinoceros 5.0 or higher.

In the first sessions, we’ll cover basic Rhino and Grasshopper tools, learn about Grasshopper Interface, Components and Data and we’ll do a bit of 3d modeling using Rhino/ Grasshopper. During the next meetings, we will work on 2d and 3d design intent exercises, surfaces and surface transitions and transformations. Finally, we’ll test different algorithms and techniques.

This course is for beginners, who are already familiar with the Rhino interface.
