Food Systems Group

After the success of the Food Systems Group co-led by Lennard Poppe in the last year and the work done by the student group members, we will proceed in Winter 24/25 focusing on the next steps of the Food Garden / Vielwald close to KISD. We will continue our collaboration with Neuland (bi-weekly meetings with Annika Cornelisen) and other institutions like the Cologne Food Council or Edible City Cologne, and there are again many opportunities for you to engage. Time commitment beyond the weekly meeting times to do some “field work” (literally) are required to make this long-term ambitious activity happen.

Nach dem Erfolg der von Lennard Poppe geleiteten Food Systems Group im letzten Jahr und der Arbeit der studentischen Gruppenmitglieder, werden wir uns im Winter 24/25 auf die nächsten Schritte des Food Garden / Vielwaldes in der Nähe der KISD konzentrieren. Wir werden unsere Zusammenarbeit mit Neuland (zweiwöchentliche Treffen mit Annika Cornelisen) und anderen Institutionen wie dem Kölner Ernährungsrat oder der Essbaren Stadt Köln fortsetzen, und es gibt wieder viele Möglichkeiten für Sie, sich zu engagieren. Um diese langfristige und ehrgeizige Aktivität zu verwirklichen, ist neben den wöchentlichen Treffen auch ein gewisses zeitliches Engagement erforderlich, um „Feldarbeit“ (im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes) zu leisten.
