Writing is an integral part of the research process. Yet, it is often seen as just reporting or describing an activity that has taken place, or proposing future plans. Writing, however, can be much more. It is a practice. It provides an opportunity to develop and show thinking and position, especially in relation to the creative disciplines. This component of your masters will work on articulating your research question and on your writing skills, from language, motivation, setting and voice to structure, formatting, editing and publishing. These four sessions will enhance your skills from the position of designers as seers, using this as an advantage in order to gain insight. By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

• Clearly articulate the research question and understand its implications for the research process;
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding about writing as a practice, in particular within the process of research;
• Understand the purpose of writing within the creative research process from the proposal to the reporting stages;
• Apply diverse writing techniques to your own thesis writing process;
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the process involved in sustaining a long piece of writing, including motivation, time management, structuring and editing.

Schreiben ist ein integraler Bestandteil des Forschungsprozesses. Dennoch wird es oft nur als Bericht oder Beschreibung einer stattgefundenen Aktivität oder als Vorschlag für zukünftige Pläne angesehen. Schreiben kann aber noch viel mehr sein. Es ist eine Praxis. Es bietet die Möglichkeit, Denken und Position zu entwickeln und zu zeigen. In dieser Komponente Ihres Masters wird an der Artikulation Ihrer Forschungsfrage und an Ihren Schreibfähigkeiten gearbeitet. Am Ende des Workshops können Sie:

• die Forschungsfrage klar artikulieren und ihre Implikationen für den Forschungsprozess verstehen;
• Wissen und Verständnis über das Schreiben als Praxis demonstrieren, insbesondere innerhalb des Forschungsprozesses;
• Den Zweck des Schreibens innerhalb des kreativen Forschungsprozesses verstehen;
• Verschiedene Schreibtechniken auf Ihren eigenen Prozess zum Schreiben einer Abschlussarbeit anwenden;
• Wissen und Verständnis für den Prozess demonstrieren, der mit der Aufrechterhaltung eines langen Textes verbunden ist.
