DaLI Interdisziplinäre Projektwoche | DaLI Interdisciplinary Project Week

Data literacy is a core competence of the future for almost all areas of life and professional fields. This refers to the ability to collect, manage, evaluate and apply data in a critical manner. Good examples are the current discussions on topics such as AI, social media, smart homes or digitalization in the healthcare sector.

During the DaLI project week, you will have the opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary team to develop a small learning unit (learning nugget) on the topic of “data literacy”, which is suitable for introducing students from all faculties to a specific aspect of data literacy. Following the flipped classroom model, the interdisciplinary project will be carried out in two phases, a two-week e-learning phase and a one-week joint online work phase with students from different faculties.

The following dates are important (all online only):

• On 28.04.2025 there will be a virtual kick-off event from 13:00 to 14:00 via Zoom, where you will receive all the necessary information. Zoom room to be announced.
• The e-learning phase will run from 28.04.2025 to 09.05.2025.
  In the first two weeks, you will work independently on materials on the topic of data literacy and learning nuggets and complete a short reflection task. You have a free time allocation.
• The interdisciplinary project week will take place from 12.05.2025 to 16.05.2025. You will develop a learning nugget with students from different faculties, which you will present on 16.05.2025. During this week, you will work with your fellow students every day between 09:00 and 17:00.
• The results will be presented again at the KISD on 23.05.2025.

This project can be credited for the Data Literacy Zertifikat der TH Köln 

Data Literacy ist für nahezu alle Lebensbereiche und Berufsfelder eine Kernkompetenz der Zukunft. Gemeint ist die Fähigkeit, Daten auf kritische Art und Weise zu sammeln, zu managen, zu bewerten und anzuwenden. Gute Beispiele sind die aktuellen Diskussionen zu Themen wie z.B. KI, Social Media, Smart Homes oder der Digitalisierung im Gesundheitsbereich. In der DaLI-Projektwoche erhalten Sie die Möglichkeit, im interdisziplinären Team eine kleine Lerneinheit (Learning Nugget) zum Thema »Data Literacy« zu entwickeln, die geeignet ist, Studierenden aller Fakultäten einen bestimmten Aspekt von Data Literacy näher zu bringen. Das Interdisziplinäre Projekt wird dem Flipped Classroom Model folgend in zwei Phasen durchgeführt, einer zweiwöchigen E-Learning-Phase und einer einwöchigen gemeinsamen Online-Arbeitsphase mit Studierenden unterschiedlicher Fakultäten. Folgende Termine sind wichtig (alle ausschließlich online):

• Am 28.04.2025 findet eine virtuelle Auftaktveranstaltung von 13:00 bis 14:00 über Zoom statt, wo Sie alle notwendigen Infos erhalten. Zoom-Raum wird noch bekannt gegeben.
• Vom 28.04.2025 bis zum 09.05.2025 verläuft die E-Learning Phase. In den ersten zwei Wochen erarbeiten Sie selbstständig Materialien zum Thema Data Literacy und Learning Nuggets und bearbeiten eine kurze Reflexionsaufgabe. Sie haben dabei eine freie Zeiteinteilung.
• Vom 12.05.2025 bis zum 16.05.2025 findet die interdisziplinäre Projektwoche statt. Dabei entwicklen Sie mit Studierenden unterschiedlicher Fakultäten ein Learning Nugget, dass Sie am 16.05.2025 vorstellen. In dieser Woche werden Sie täglich zwischen 09:00 und 17:00 mit Ihren KommilitonInnen arbeiten.
• Am 23.05.2025 werden die Ergebnisse an der KISD nochmal präsentiert.

Dieses Projekt kann für das Data Literacy Zertifikat der TH Köln kreditiert werden.
