In this project, you will be the author and designer of a publication that will be presented in a self-created mini-edition at the end of the semester.

In addition to discussing the individual concepts of the publication, we will:
talk about the use of grids in the design,
about the format of the publication,
about alternative printing processes and their advantages,
about paper qualities and the significance for printing,
about the different binding options,
analog and digital image production,
and, of course, typography and its use in conjunction with illustrations.

All in all, an intensive and very demanding design process.

In diesem Projekt wirst du Autor und Designer einer Publikation, die am Ende des Semesters in einer selbsterstellten Mini-Auflage präsentiert wird.

Neben dem Austausch über die individuellen Konzepte der Publikation, werden wir:
über die Verwendung von Rastern in der Gestaltung sprechen,
über das Format der Publikation,
über alternative Druckverfahren und ihre Vorteile,
über Papierqualitäten und die Bedeutung für den Druck,
über die unterschiedlichen Möglichkeiten der Bindung,
über analoge und digitale Bildproduktion,
und natürlich auch über Typografie und deren Einsatz in Verbindung mit Abbildungen.

Alles in allem ein intensiver und sehr arbeitsreicher Designprozess.
