As part of the DFG-funded graduate program “Connecting – Excluding“, we are organizing a large exhibition project that will take place at various locations in Cologne and run throughout June. Common themes of the works to be exhibited are diaspora, (post-)migration, mobility, pluriversality, Queer Feminism, embodiment, body, space, localization, extractivism as well as decolonial/postcolonial perspectives. The project will be developed, organized and implemented by the participants together with invited artists and designers and in direct exchange with local actors. For this purpose, we cooperate with the Academy of the Arts of the World, the art space GLASMOOG, the Schauspiel Köln, the Filmhaus Köln as well as the City of Cologne. In addition to the exhibitions, other event formats are planned such as round tables, workshops, performances and film screenings.
PhD students from the graduate program “Connecting – Excluding” and already collaborating KISD students will participate in the project.
