Many people deal with the devastating impact of loneliness, going from one week to the next without speaking to another person.<\/p>\n<p>Food Cycle is a national charity that builds communities through surplus food, volunteers and spare kitchen spaces. They create tasty three-course meals for vulnerable people across the UK, and are united by the simple belief that food waste and food poverty should not co-exist.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where it is:<\/strong> <br \/>UK, mainly England<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why it is relevant:<\/strong> <br \/>Aside from reducing food waste, communities are being build, enabling people to get to know all kinds of people. A lack of social contact with other people can have a huge effect on an individual\u2019s mental and physical health, so they make sure to be a place for guests to make friends and have a good time.
