Aktivierendes Beobachten: SpeiseWald Süd | Activating observing: SpeiseWald Süd

This course explores how systematic observation and targeted interaction shape the design of urban spaces. Using the example of the emerging Speisewald Süd, students test a variety of methods to derive concrete designs from their findings, which can later be transferred to other urban areas. Participation is partly in cooperation with citizens in order to promote climate-resilient urban development.

Objectives

• Understanding and applying observation as a central design practice
• Initiating stakeholder dialogues and building relationship networks with the location
• Translating findings into concrete design tasks
• Contextual, practical learning for future urban spaces

Methods & content

• Observation methods from environmental education and permaculture
• Focus on soil condition, plant life and wildlife
• Structures of use: In future, the food forest will be used by primary school children and other groups
• Multi-session cooperation formats in which different stakeholders come together
• Didactic formats for linking location, people and stakeholders

Dieser Kurs erforscht, wie systematische Beobachtung und gezielte Interaktion die Gestaltung urbaner Räume prägen. Am Beispiel des entstehenden Speisewalds Süd erproben Studierende vielfältige Methoden, um aus Erkenntnissen konkrete Designs abzuleiten, die später auch auf andere städtische Flächen übertragbar sind. Die Teilnahme erfolgt teilweise in Kooperation mit Bürgerinnen und Bürgern, um eine klimaresiliente Stadtentwicklung zu fördern

• Beobachtungsmethoden aus Umweltdidaktik und Permakultur
• Fokus auf Bodenzustand, Pflanzenleben und Tierwelt
• Strukturen der Nutzung: Der Speisewald wird künftig von Grundschulkindern und weiteren Gruppen genutzt
• Mehrterminige Kooperationsformate, in denen unterschiedliche Stakeholder zusammenkommen
• Didaktische Formate zur Verknüpfung von Ort, Mensch und Stakeholdern
