Meeting Times
Daily 10:00 — 16:00
Description - EN

In the year 2100, a variety of visionary players are competing to save the world with their revolutionary ideas – but the world has yet to be convinced:

We are invited to develop a design and communication strategy for these ideas and products. Saving the world is in our hands!

In theory and practice we go through important stages of a design-process and conceive, select, execute and experiment, compose and decline, argue, document and communicate the future.
___
Graduates of the course will be able to holistically design systems as a “language” by
* defining the goal of a design-communication task,
* conceptualizing frameworks with this goal in mind, combining a set of rules and reusable components, standards, and documentation,
* follow the philosophy of contextualized prototyping that takes into account all dimensions of design in order to understand the individual components of such a framework and their interaction, with the goal of leading an idea to realization and applicability,
* to ensure aesthetic coherence and the power of independent expression on a production, technological and craft level,
to later be able to apply a holistic understanding of design in interdisciplinary projects.

–
Cross-faculty Code & Context block session (4th semester / 2 weeks / Foundations of Design) in the Designing Futures II module.
