Design Exploration

This course starts with your official Welcome Day on Monday, September 25, and ends on Friday, October 6, before your projects and seminars begin. In the first week KISD staff and the heads of study program will welcome you and introduce you to KISD: You will get to know the Workshops, Labs, KISDspaces, the library and learn about your module sheets, examinations and other organizational matters.

In the second week you will discover the thematic clusters. Each day the professors of each cluster will introduce different design approaches in a workshop format. You will receive a more detailed plan about the Design Exploration at the beginning of the semester.

Changes in the order of the days are possible. Participation in all cluster days is mandatory.

Dieser Kurs beginnt mit Ihrem offiziellen Willkommenstag am Montag, dem 25. September, und endet am Freitag, dem 06. Oktober, bevor Ihre Projekte und Seminare beginnen. In der ersten Woche werden Sie von Mitarbeiter*innen der KISD und der Studiengangsleitung begrüßt und lernen die KISD kennen: Sie lernen dabei die Werkstätten, Labs, KISDspaces und die Bibliothek kennen und erfahren mehr über Ihre Modulscheine, Prüfungen und andere organisatorische Aspekte. In der zweiten Woche entdecken Sie die thematischen Cluster. Täglich stellen die Professorinnen und Professoren der einzelnen Cluster in einem Workshop-Format unterschiedliche Designansätze vor. Einen genaueren Plan zu den Design Explorations erhalten Sie zu Beginn des Semesters.
