How do designers, architects, scientists and thinkers respond to existential challenges, once they are moving beyond the focus of a human centered approach?
We will look at case studies to investigate diverse approaches for a more holistic understanding of nature and culture represented through objects and systems.
How do we visualize what seems not visible to us, be it because of its microscopic scale, it being abstract, or because we cannot imagine the world from a non-human perspective?
We will make use of tools and techniques such as mapping and storytelling that enable a shift in perspective so we may see the world from the viewpoint of and therefore create empathy for other living beings.
