In this seminar, the neo-liberal concepts of city-, region- or nationbranding will be critically examined. In addition to current practices, historical and equally ideological notions of collective or national identities will be discussed.

In diesem Seminar sollen die Konzepte des city-, region- oder nationbrandings kritisch betrachtet werden. Neben den aktuellen Praktiken sollen auch weitaus ältere und ebenso ideologische Vorstellungen von kollektiven oder nationalen Identitäten erörtert werden.
