The short project “Intervening Drawing” (27.5. – 6.6.2024) is part of the KISDconference of the same name (6. – 8.6.2024) and will be led by Lukas Hamilcaro, an architect and illustrator based in Marseille who works in the fields of temporary architecture, urban design, scenography and illustration, often in collaboration with the well-known collectives raumlaborberlin and Marseille Collectif Etc. His projects create spaces, installations and situations that explore the transformative potential of space. His work is mostly action-oriented and context-specific, seeing space as co-produced in social actions.
The project will focus on drawing as a collective knowledge practice. We will collectively create a large scale drawing that will be publicly exhibited during the conference. With the development of new forms of drawing and practices of collaboration, drawing is well suited to initiate acts of resistance and collective participation. A collective drawing practice links situations to actions and can thus contribute to the empowerment of marginalized groups and the development of social and ecological understanding.

Das Kurzzeitprojekt „Intervening Drawing“ (27.5. – 6.6.2024) ist Teil der gleichnamigen KISDconference (6. – 8.6.2024) und wird von Lukas Hamilcaro geleitet, ein in Marseille ansässiger Illustrator und Architekt, der in den Bereichen temporäre Architektur, Stadtdesign, Szenografie und Illustration arbeitet, oft in Kooperation mit den bekannten Kollektiven raumlaborberlin und dem Marseiller Collectif Etc. Mit seinen Projekten schafft er Räume, Installationen und Situationen, die das transformative Potenzial des Raums erforschen. Seine Arbeit ist meist aktionsorientiert und kontextspezifisch, da er den Raum als ko-produziert in sozialen Aktionen sieht.
Das Projekt befasst sich mit dem Zeichnen als kollektive Wissenspraxis. Wir erstellen im Kollektiv eine raumgreifende Zeichnung, die während der Konferenz öffentlich ausgestellt wird. Mit der Entwicklung neuer zeichnerischer Formen und Praktiken der Kooperation ist die Zeichnung in hohem Maße geeignet, Akte des Widerstands und der kollektiven Partizipation zu initiieren. Eine kollektive zeichnerische Praxis verbindet Situationen mit Aktionen und kann so zur Ermächtigung marginalisierter Gruppen und zur Entwicklung von sozialem und ökologischem Verständnis beitragen.
