Personal Projections of Design

If the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd Industrial Revolutions was focused on only one technology, “the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), refers to the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies, characterized by a fusion of physical, digital, and biological systems. It involves the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, and autonomous systems, leading to increased efficiency and productivity in various industries.”(ChatGPT AI). The 5^th Industrial Revolution definitions are not clear yet. Some put the focus on human-Robot, Human-AI collaboration. Some call for recruiting the new technologies for the mission of sustainability and stopping the Anthropocene nature extinction. The process of the workshop will aim at the reflection on these approaches, and dwell on the future with realism and honest way. The design process aims at the projection future of one design object, made by a chosen German Brand (Adidas, BMW, Bosh, Jack Wolfskin etc.), applying the personal interpretation and view on the future of ‘Industry’.

 

Ezri Tarazi is a very interesting professor from Israel wants to come to KISD for one semester and offers two KP from the product area.
