Aachen

Aachen is a historical town in NRW. Its over 2000 year-old. The Aachen Cathedral is in the List of World Heritage Site. Visit the Elisen fountain and stroll through the Christmas market. Every year before Christmas the squares and streets round the Cathedral and the town hall are transformed into a paradise of lights and colours, festive sounds and seductive smells.
I was there at the Christmas market last winter, it was drizzling and very very cold but I enjoyed it very much, bought some Aachener Printen and also visited the Cathedral, which is beautiful!
